Stepping Up to Strengthening USC Upstate - Title III Active Learning Initiative*

We welcomed 10 new Active Learning Faculty Fellow to the project this summer:

The new group participated in a week of intensive development on active learning pedagogy during the months of May and June.

A second Active Learning Classroom was designed and equipped - Library 238 - in time to be fully utilized by AL Faculty Fellows and their students this semester.
This second room design is quite different from our first room in Admin. 104 (See pics and information in our Spring 2015 issue of Tech News).

Would you like to learn more? We have created several opportunities for you to connect with the Active Learning Iniative and learn along with us:

  1. Join Mike Lampe (Instructional Designer) for Active Learning Office Hours 2:00 - 4:00 pm on several remaining Fridays throughout the semester (see the Opportunities calendar below for locations)
  2. Mike will provide an Active Learning Tech Lunch session on Monday, November 23 at noon in the IT Conference Room (Admin. 102).
  3. Tune in to Mike's Active Learning Podcast (or at Podomatic: The Active Learning Podcast)
  4. And individal consultations are always available.

The next call for proposals to join the Active Learning Faculty Fellowship program will be posted in early Spring semester, so watch for details.
